Four open Ford recalls: three F-150 Raptor campaigns and one Bronco

Good morning. First, who these apply to. NHTSA's summary text names the F-150, but each campaign's covered-vehicle listing specifies the F-150 Raptor — so a standard F-150 is not what these describe. The fourth campaign covers the 2026 Bronco.

Lead with the one that can bite while you're moving. Campaign 26V-576 recalls certain 2026 F-150 vehicles because incorrect rear axle tail bearings may have been installed, which NHTSA says can result in rear wheel lock-up or driveshaft separation. Dealers will replace the rear axle tail bearing free of charge; Ford's internal number is 26S63, and owner letters are expected September 21, 2026. It is not a stop-ride order, but rear wheel lock-up is loss of control, so treat it as urgent.

Ford's widest campaign by model year is 26V-578, covering certain 2023–2027 F-150 vehicles. NHTSA states the fuel tank may be improperly secured and can leak fuel or detach from the vehicle while driving. The remedy is inspection and replacement of the fuel tank straps as necessary, free of charge; Ford's number is 26S69. If your truck falls in the 2023 through 2027 range, this is the one to check first.

Two more Ford campaigns fill out the set. Campaign 26V-577 covers certain 2026 F-150 vehicles whose stabilizer rod fasteners may not have been tightened properly, allowing the rod to shift out of position; dealers replace the fasteners (Ford 26S66). Campaign 26V-580 covers certain 2026 Bronco vehicles, where a metal burr on the right-hand side curtain air bag mounting bracket can tear the air bag during deployment; the remedy is anticipated in October 2026 (Ford 26S64). None carry a stop-ride order. Owners can confirm whether a specific VIN is involved on NHTSA.gov, and Ford customer service is at 1-866-436-7332.

Off the vehicles, the CPSC announced that Tongyang Cycling is recalling Basecamp bicycle helmets for violating the mandatory bicycle-helmet standard on impact attenuation, positional stability and certification, with a button cell battery missing required warning labels — CPSC warns the helmets can fail to protect in a crash, a risk of serious injury or death. If you wear one on the trail, stop using it.

On land use, RideApart reports the American Motorcyclist Association and Backcountry Discovery Routes have partnered to protect local trail access, while noting both remain quiet on national public-lands fights. No specific trail's status is stated here, and none is claimed.
